Vegas has much better results on the road (15-3-2) than at home (13-10) but Detroit is just 7-7-4 away from home this season. Forwards Matt Luff and Filip Zadina continue to be sidelined for Detroit. They have combined for just one goal and no assists in 16 games this season. The injuries are piling up on the blue line for Vegas. Alec Martinez is questionable while Daniil Miromanov, Zach Whitecloud and Shea Theodore are out.

Two days later, Colorado went up 5-0 in the second period on the way to a 6-3 win and then the Red Wings squandered a two-goal lead when Arizona scored twice in 70 seconds and lost in a shootout. Eichel had 13 goals and 16 assists through the first 26 games with the Golden Knights going 8-2 when Eichel had at least one goal. However, he was forced out of the lineup for nearly a month.
Vegas Golden Knights vs Detroit Red Wings
Vegas did manage to go 6-4-1 while Eichel was sidelined despite scoring one more goal than it gave up. Eichel made his presence known with a goal and two assists in his first game back. Since then, he has one goal and no assists with a defensive rating of -9 as Vegas dropped three of four. The last time out, the Golden Knights were shut out for the first time all season. With Vegas up by just two points on Seattle and Los Angeles, this would be the perfect time for Eichel to get going again.
